Prayers

Matthew 6:5,6 “When you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites. For they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you”. Why do so many Christians pray publicly in restaurants, closing their eyes and bowing their heads, or finding opportunity to pray out loud to be heard by others when Jesus plainly teaches against it. Other religions do this too, but we are to be set apart from them. If Jesus is our teacher, and we are his students, we would be failing the class with this action. Some people don’t like following the rules.

One God

Mark 12:29. “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength”. Jesus knows this to be the first commandment and his Father in Heaven to be the creator and only God to be worshipped. Jesus never said there are 3 Gods in one. I’m not as smart as pastors today, and I don’t have a degree in theology, but that seems easy enough for a child to comprehend. If you need a degree to understand scriptures, we have no hope. Jesus is the teacher here and I think he is clear on this subject. There are many scriptures like 1 Corinthians 8:6, Isaiah 42:8, Psalm 83:18, that back this statement up, but I’m focusing on what Jesus says. In the end, JESUS RULES!

Introduction

Hi, my name is Jeff and I am a self-employed small business owner from Michigan. I’m not wealthy but I’m happy! In my pursuit of happiness I’ve served in many churches and music ministries as a guitarist and really enjoyed the fellowship aspect. I’ve read the scriptures fervently for the past 20 years and noticed something odd-most of what Jesus taught is not what they are teaching in church. So I decided to address the issue and hopefully reveal the true Messiah, Jesus Christ, who laid the foundations for discipleship.
